Sydney's beauty is in the understated. Where the setting sun meets the buildings as though exemplifying natural harmony. Reds and orange and yellows imbue the skyline with a burning nightime kiss.
Softly, it says. Go softly Sydney, it reminds us.
The glinting CBD behind asserts itself, bold and strong against their wishes.
It is the sprawling outer layers that abide, facing their windows to the sky and shrinking their roofs to the soil. The sun sets first here, encouraged by their gentle acceptance.
Disappear it will over the Harbour Bridge, but only as a reminder of its omnipotence, glowing like an ember in the distance.
